At just 19 years old, Obed's journey has been defined by determination, self-learning, and an unwavering belief that technology can change lives. Coming from Ghana, he faced challenges that could have easily discouraged him, including financial obstacles that affected his educational path. Instead of allowing those difficulties to define his future, he chose to define it himself.
Without expensive resources, a large team, or outside funding, Obed taught himself web development and began turning ideas into reality. He spent countless hours learning, building, failing, improving, and trying again. Every challenge became a lesson. Every setback became motivation.
That persistence eventually led to the creation of AfriWidget — a platform built with a simple but powerful vision: to give people access to useful digital tools that can make life easier, work faster, and opportunities more accessible.

Obed understands what it feels like to search for opportunities, to look for solutions, and to face limitations that many people encounter every day.
